We extend FAM offers to all of our advisors because we are confident that you will represent us well at home or in destination. When attending a FAM trip there are expectations of how you will conduct yourself as a Travel with Awestruck Advisor. Invitations to FAM trips are a privilege and allow us to learn and experience what we sell. We know because we go, and we sell what we know. We appreciate the invitations and opportunities and act accordingly.

Please see here for a list of our policies while on FAM trips representing Travel with Awestruck, and do not hesitate to reach out if you have further questions.

  • Make yourself familiar with any policies that the resorts provide in advance of the trip. You are expected to strictly adhere to their guidelines as well as ours
  • Do not interact with resort guests on property to promote your business or try to gain their future bookings. You are not allowed to distribute business cards or share contact information. You are also not permitted to disclose that you are there for “free.”  So, if you are talking to someone you don’t say things like, “I am a travel advisor here on a hosted trip"
  • On time is late, early is on time. It is important to be early for all scheduled activities so that the rest of the group is not waiting for you to show up to training or touring the property. You are expected to attend all scheduled activities to learn about the brand and as a sign of respect for our partners (even if other advisors are skipping events)
  • Business casual attire should be worn in training spaces and throughout the program, unless you are at the pool / beach or are instructed otherwise. Think polos, tailored shorts, sundresses, and comfortable shoes. Do not  wear flip flops. Remember to bring a jacket to throw on in meeting spaces because it tends to get cold in those spaces
  • Respect the spaces that you are in. Industry standard is to avoid sitting on furniture and using the restroom during room inspections. When you do those things, the staff must clean a room that was already clean, so we avoid touching anything in the room. We also do not monopolize the time spent in each room. Everyone wants to get photos and videos, so be mindful of the other advisors that are present
  • Be mindful of your surroundings. While alcohol may be served and be part of the events, always remember that this is a business trip. It is expected that while you may enjoy a few cocktails, you will refrain from overconsumption
  • Respect on-site staff. At Travel with Awestruck, we live in gratitude, not entitlement. We treat the staff members on the ground as respectfully as we treat our BDMs, supplier executives, and our clients. We do not make demands or complain, and we do whatever we can to make their days easier to let them know how much we appreciate all that they do for our mutual guests. These on-the-ground relationships are often the difference between your client having a good experience and an exceptional one down the road
  • Save your feedback for private spaces. If there are things that you don’t like about the resort or think can be improved, we save that feedback for our team chat. Communicate it to Jenene, Colleen, and Alexis, and they will guide you on who to share it with within the resort's network. We praise in public and criticize in private. We never post anything negative on social media
  • Ensure that you tip all staff appropriately. This includes drivers, housekeeping, servers, and bartenders as you normally would on a paid vacation
